Job summary

USA MOT Motion Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Industrial Controls Engineer to lead the design and development of industrial control panels and automation systems.

You will ensure UL508A compliance, create schematics and layouts, select components, and support fabrication, testing, and startup activities. The role involves collaboration with engineering, production, and customers, and may require travel to customer sites for field verification and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial control panel design.
• Strong knowledge of UL508A NEC NFPA 79.
• Experience with electrical CAD platforms (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control panels in compliance with UL508A and NEC.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and I/O lists.
• Perform load calculations, SCCR analysis, and arc flash considerations.
• Support UL inspections and maintain compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with panel shop, provide FAT support, and field startup.
