Knowles Precision Devices is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure consistent use of quality techniques, provide statistical insights for quality improvement, and analyze and resolve quality issues across product lines.

The role requires experience with quality systems in a manufacturing setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with various departments to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in TS/IATF16949, AS9100, or ISO 9001.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Excel, Minitab, ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide statistical analysis of process behavior using applicable statistics, quality tools, and software.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product lines and initiate actions to prevent recurrence of nonconformities.
  • Assist in evaluation and qualification of new product designs and supplier materials via a defined new product development process.
  • Monitor and report site quality metrics on a monthly basis.
  • Lead yield improvement projects to increase facility capability to meet Knowles and customer requirements.
  • Participate in documentation and drawing review, approval, revision, or creation as needed.
  • Assist in rapid cycle times for site-related customer complaints.
  • Work with operational departments on continuous process improvements.
