Job summary

Knowles Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer in New York to ensure consistent application of quality techniques and to investigate, analyze, and resolve quality problems. You will provide statistical insights, monitor site metrics, and lead yield improvement projects to meet Knowles and customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing quality, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with factory certified to TS/IATF16949, AS9100, or ISO 9001.
• Experience with quality improvement tools (8D, Lean Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, FMEA Kaizen, Cpk).
• Minimum 2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well in a high-volume production environment with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to travel to suppliers, customers, or corporate meetings.
• US work eligibility without ITAR restrictions; US citizenship; security clearance optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical analysis of process behavior using statistics, quality tools, and software.
• Identify and record problems related to product lines and initiate corrective actions.
• Assist in evaluating and qualifying new product designs and supplier materials.
• Monitor site quality objectives by maintaining metrics and reporting monthly.
• Lead yield improvement projects to increase facility capability.
• Participate in documentation and drawing review to ensure process documentation.
• Assist in rapid cycle times for site-related customer complaints.
• Collaborate with operational departments on continuous process improvements.
