Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer in South Gate to monitor and improve our manufacturing processes. You will inspect materials and equipment, develop QC systems, and act as the liaison with internal staff, suppliers, and customers on quality issues.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, data analysis, and the ability to drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams. Occasional overtime may be required in a high‑reliability aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or metallurgical related field.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or related experience and/or training.
• ASQ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules (e.g., Quality and Safety).
• Coordinate and manage Front End Corrective Actions (daily failures, NCR / CARs).
• Quality Alerts, Create / Distribute.
• Create Replacement Metrics, Coordinate Replacement meeting, Drive Corrective Actions until resolution.
• Manage Stamp control process; ensure that Stamp Log is kept up to date (stamps, signatures, initials); new hires and exiting employees.
• Supplier: Manage SCARs for nonconforming supplier products and services.
• Perform Failure Quality Analysis (FQA) on nonconforming laboratory tests.
• Develop and implement quality control systems, procedures, processes.
