General Motors is seeking a Lab Quality Engineer focused on Engine Dyno Testing. You will guide instrumentation and software for compliant tests, validate data and procedures, and collaborate to improve efficiency and quality across global teams.

The role emphasizes statistics, lean practices, and innovation within a dynamic lab environment. The position is onsite with responsibilities spanning testing procedures, data validation, and documentation, reporting to the Quality department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; strong analytical mindset.
• Red X, OPEX, DFSS certifications.
• Working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and statistical analysis.
• Lean engineering/quality systems knowledge with strong critical thinking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with leadership and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on instrumentation, equipment and software for compliant testing.
• Support laboratory operations to ensure compliant testing processes.
• Validate instrumentation, diagnostics and calibration accuracy.
• Validate test procedures and data for required tests or sequences.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems and improve FTQ.
• Develop tools and processes to enhance efficiency in the lab.
• Lead quality department innovation activities.
• Complete quality systems related tasks and training.
• Maintain Standard Work documents for projects.
• Review data and perform statistical analysis to ensure quality.
• Maintain department and project status and align with Business Plan Deployment.
• Produce monthly quality and lab operation reports.
