General Motors LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support a highly automated, three-shift operation. You will focus on quality across the GPS development process—from design through manufacturing to field, collaborating with Manufacturing, Process, Product, and Mechanical and Controls Engineering.

You’ll develop solutions to improve safety, uptime, and product quality, using data analytics and statistical methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field(s).
• Ability to understand and assess complex engineering issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (2+ years) is preferred
• Knowledge of quality systems and procedures is a plus

Responsabilités

• Develop engineering solutions for continuous improvement in safety, uptime, and quality.
• Use data to identify process conditions and develop solutions.
• Perform early issue identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Summarize and evaluate reject and defect data to drive improvements.
• Provide statistical analysis of manufacturing process data.
• Coordinate change management to protect product quality.
• Verify compliance to quality requirements and procedures.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions.
• Support corporate and local Global Manufacturing Systems goals.
