General Motors is seeking an Engine Dyno Technician for 2nd shift to support gasoline and diesel engine dynamometer testing. You will coordinate test-cell activities, maintain equipment readiness, and validate data while collaborating with engineers and support teams to ensure safe, accurate, on-schedule operations.

Responsibilities include installing engines, instrumentation, and test systems, executing a broad range of tests, and applying Lean/GMS tools for continuous improvement.

Formación

• Associate degree or 5+ years related technical experience.
• 2+ years applying Lean or GMS tools in manufacturing or lab env.
• 3+ years installing/removing engines on dynamometers.
• 3+ years installing instrumentation and diagnostics.
• 3+ years installing/replacing engine components.
• Working knowledge of gasoline/diesel engine systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Champion safety by following procedures and promoting safe work practices.
• Use GMS tools to support daily operations and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate daily test-cell activities and priorities.
• Perform gasoline/diesel engine dynamometer tests.
• Install/remove engines and complete related mechanical work.
• Install instrumentation and connect test systems.
• Review and validate test data for accuracy.
• Communicate test-cell status with engineers and teams.
• Identify abnormal conditions and support root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and training as required.
