Job summary

General Motors in Michigan is seeking a Lab Quality Engineer to address the broadest and most complex problems in Engine Dyno Testing. You will guide instrumentation, equipment and software to ensure compliant testing and collaborate across quality teams.

You will validate measurements, procedures and data, train team members, and maintain standard work while driving data analytics, monthly status reports and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with applicable experience
• DFSS, Red X, OPEX certifications preferred
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and lean quality systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration with global teams

Responsibilities

• Guide instrumentation, equipment and software for compliant testing
• Support laboratory operations and quality teams to ensure compliant testing
• Validate instrument diagnostics, calibrations and test procedures
• Analyze data and prepare monthly quality reports
• Lead innovation and improve efficiency in the Quality Department
