Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Rochester, NY seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support a highly automated, three-shift operation. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process, Product, Mechanical and Controls Engineering to assure quality throughout development, manufacturing and field deployment.

You will develop engineering solutions focused on Safety, Uptime and Quality, using data to identify issues, perform analysis and drive corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for continuous improvement in Safety, Uptime and Quality.
• Use data to identify process conditions and develop solutions.
• Early issue identification, corrective action tracking and resolution.
• Summarize defect data to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide statistical analysis of manufacturing process data.
• Ensure changes do not affect product quality.
