Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a passionate Quality Engineer to support QE initiatives and drive customer-focused vehicle quality at the Kentucky plant. You will coordinate KPI-based activities with multiple departments and suppliers, ensuring adherence to plans and timely issue resolution.

You will participate in developing inspection plans, monitoring KPIs, and leading quality assurance strategies across modules such as interior noise, water leaks, door closure, and emissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of equivalent Quality Engineering work experience.
• Experience in Quality Improvement, quality systems, process or equipment improvements, focus supplier, part approval (PPAP), process change management or non-conformance management.
• Experience with KPI based management and/or Operation Plan milestone management.

Responsibilities

• Support QE Section Management Hoshin Initiatives and assure customer satisfaction through vehicle quality.
• Assist Quality department to coordinate activities with other departments and externalOrganizations to meet KPI objectives (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, HR, Training).
• Develop and confirm Quality Standard and inspection plans with manufacturing and suppliers.
• Monitor group KPIs, identify and resolve issues using FMDS and TBP methods.
• Support new model vehicle development with design and manufacturing, including OP adherence.
• Help deploy the Quality Hoshin within TMMK and drive quality improvements.
• Lead change points with supplier, manufacturing and design within assigned area of responsibility.
• Manage vehicle assurance strategies (Interior Noise/Water leak/Door Close/Emissions) across teams.
