Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Engineer in Wax, KY to join a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer. You will develop quality plans, lead audits, and drive CAPA to uphold ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to eliminate defects and enhance process capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and CAPA methodologies.
• Proficiency with data analysis and quality software tools.
• ASQ CQE or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality plans, inspection procedures, and process documentation to ensure consistent product excellence.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and drive proactive solutions using tools such as SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• Conduct internal, supplier, and product audits to verify compliance and resolve quality issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
• Support validation of new products, equipment, and processes through structured testing and verification.
• Partner with cross functional teams and customers to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by driving process enhancements and quality best practices.
