The Recruiting Hive in Bluffton, OH is hiring a Quality Engineer to lead a Quality Technician and drive improvements on a day-shift in an upgraded plant. You will own ISO 9001 certification, work with customers, and mentor staff on RCA, corrective actions, and KPI tracking.

This role offers direct access to owners, minimal bureaucracy, and opportunities to learn new processes as part of a diverse, locally owned business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years in a similar quality position.
• Experience with QMS (ISO or IATF) in manufacturing.
• Experience with RCA and corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the accredited ISO 9001 certification, including compliance, documentation, audits, etc.
• Communicate with customers on quality issues
• Complete any customer specific quality related paperwork and documentation
• Establish, monitor, and work to improve quality KPIs and metrics
• Lead and execute root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
• Communicate internally and with external customers on the status of quality
• Utilize formal problem solving techniques to determine quality issues
• Complete internal audits and quality training to team members
• Document inspection results and quality findings within the company ERP system
• Other duties as directed by management
