Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC in Bluffton, Ohio is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead a Quality Technician and drive customer-focused quality improvements on the production floor. This day-shift role reports to the General Manager and emphasizes hands-on leadership, ownership of ISO 9001, and practical problem solving.

You will monitor KPIs, perform RCA, and coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure quality metrics are met, with growth opportunities as the plant expands after recent

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years in a similar quality position.
• Experience with a Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO or IATF.
• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• MS Office experience, including basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accredited ISO 9001 certification, including compliance, documentation, audits, etc.
• Communicate with customers on quality issues.
• Complete customer-specific quality paperwork and documentation.
• Establish, monitor, and improve quality KPIs and metrics.
• Lead and execute root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Communicate quality status internally and with external customers.
• Utilize formal problem solving techniques to determine quality issues.
• Complete internal audits and quality training for team members.
• Document inspection results and quality findings within the ERP system.
• Other duties as directed by management.
