Job summary

United Future in Bluffton, OH is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead a Quality Technician and drive continuous improvement on a day shift, Monday–Friday. You will own ISO 9001 certification, oversee quality documentation, and interact with customers regarding quality issues.

You’ll mentor staff and work hands-on on the production floor, primarily within a privately held facility backed by recent capital investments.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
2-3 years in a similar quality position in a manufacturing environment with a formal QMS (ISO or IATF).
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Microsoft Office experience, including basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the accredited ISO 9001 certification, including compliance, documentation, audits, etc.
Communicate with customers on quality issues
Complete any customer specific quality related paperwork and documentation
Establish, monitor, and work to improve quality KPIs and metrics
Lead and execute root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
Communicate internally and with external customers on the status of quality
Utilize formal problem solving techniques to determine quality issues
Complete internal audits and quality training to team members
Document inspection results and quality findings within the company ERP system
Other duties as directed by management
