Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Quality Leader for our South Carolina manufacturing site. The role drives quality improvements across specialized machining and assembly, ensuring PPAP and change control meet customer and internal standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality tools and problem-solving, with 4+ years in manufacturing quality and familiarity with IATF16949. Excellent communication and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years’ experience required; 4+ years desirable if applicable to manufacturing quality.
• Proficient in core quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Familiarity with IATF16949 and related standards preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all quality-related activities in APQP for new programs.
• Ensure PPAP target dates are met and documented.
• Lead problem solving and risk assessments with cross-functional teams.
• Coach teams in Quality systems and tools; mentor others.
• Inspect processes, audits, and product conformance to requirements.
• Approve product and process changes to ensure customer satisfaction.
