Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Production Engineering Technician to support Seneca Battery manufacturing operations, troubleshoot process problems, validate equipment, and help maintain quality standards. You will work with engineers to improve performance and ensure process consistency in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, downtime reduction, and collaboration across teams to meet KPIs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Associate degree in engineering or technical field or 5 years related experience in automotive manufacturing.
Minimum 2 years in a technical role; battery/energy storage experience preferred.
Electrical/Mechatronics background is a plus and may enhance suitability.

Responsibilities

Support engineering on designated departmental processes to ensure reliable, stable, and sustainable operations.
Assist with new product launches by designing manufacturing plans, operator content, and information flow.
Support capacity planning and capital forecasting.
Assist in selecting parts, tools, and gauging to meet specifications.
Participate in machine selection, installation, and handoff to production.
Provide daily support to production and maintenance; troubleshoot downtime and quality issues.
Contribute to achieving departmental KPIs and safety compliance.
Travel up to 15% for training as required.
