Job summary

Materion seeks a Quality Engineer to oversee QA processes for customer orders, ensuring products meet specs for semiconductor and aerospace clients. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service to address quality concerns, manage change control, implement corrective actions, and improve customer satisfaction.

The role requires broad metals knowledge and deep quality standards expertise (AS9100/ISO 9001) and active participation in the eQMS to exceed quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 4–5 years in a quality-related role with metals.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and semiconductor/aerospace standards.
• Proficient in SPC, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience with JMP or Minitab and familiarity with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality protocols to meet customer specs.
• Support customer quality inquiries, audits, and change control requirements.
• Investigate quality issues, perform CAPA, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain records of quality agreements, change control, and feedback.
• Collaborate with sales, production, engineering, procurement, and planning.
• Provide training on quality standards and drive continual improvement.
