Job summary

Materion Corporation is hiring a Quality Engineer I to join our quality team. You will drive strong quality systems, work with customers to resolve issues, and help reduce costs through effective problem-solving.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in a scientific/technical field (Metallurgy preferred), 3+ years in metals or materials environments, and experience with ETQ and quality management systems. Travel up to 10% is typical as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field; Metallurgy preferred.
• 3+ years in metals/materials production or lab environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO/AS) required.
• ETQ experience is required and highly valued.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collaborate on customer issues using root cause analysis.
• Support quality systems via audits, documentation, and calibration activities.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure alignment across teams.
• Participate in site projects to drive efficiency and yield improvements.
