Job summary

Materion is seeking a Quality Engineer I to join the Quality team in ensuring robust quality systems and effective customer issue resolution. The role emphasizes collaboration with customers and internal teams to save costs and improve processes.

Requirements include a scientific/technical degree and preferred metallurgy background, with 3+ years in metals or materials environments and strong IT auditing skills. Domestic travel up to 25-50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required.
• Metallurgy degree preferred.
• 3+ years in metals/materials production/lab environment preferred.
• General knowledge of quality management systems required.
• ETQ experience required.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve customer issues with root cause analysis.
• Support ISO 9001, AS9100D, ISO17025 audits and documentation.
• Collaborate with peers to maintain alignment across sites.
• Work on teams/projects to drive efficiency and yield improvements.
