Job summary

Materion is seeking a Quality Engineer I in Elmore, Ohio to join our Quality team. You will help drive strong quality systems and work with customers to resolve issues, reducing costs and ensuring compliance with standards.

The role requires a scientific/technical degree, knowledge of quality management systems, ETQ experience, and strong communication. Travel up to 25-50% may be necessary within the first six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a metals or materials production/laboratory environment preferred.
• General knowledge of quality management systems required.
• ETQ experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite.
• Effective communicator for groups of customers and employees.
• Ability to train.
• Solution oriented.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Language: English.
• Travel up to 25-50% within first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collaborate on customer issues.
• Utilize root cause analysis tools to identify causes and resolve.
• Support quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO17025) via audits and documentation.
• Collaborate with peers to align on processes.
• Participate in site-wide teams and projects to drive efficiency and yield.
