Job summary

Materion is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee QA processes for customer orders, ensuring products meet specs for semiconductor and aerospace clients. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service to address quality concerns, manage change control, and drive corrective actions.

The role requires a broad metals and manufacturing quality background with AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity and experience with eQMS, SPC, RCA, and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and four to five years of quality-related metals experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 in semiconductor/aerospace contexts.
• Proficient in SPC, RCA and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience with JMP or Minitab for analytics.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: develop and maintain QA protocols for customer specs.
• Customer Interaction: support inquiries, audits, and change control updates.
• Root Cause Analysis: investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Documentation: maintain records of quality agreements and feedback.
• Collaboration: work with sales, production, engineering, procurement and planning.
• Training: deliver customer-specific QA training to staff.
• Continual Improvement: identify process improvements to raise quality.
