Job summary

CertainTeed, part of Saint-Gobain, is hiring a Quality Engineer for our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility. You will lead quality systems, conduct audits, and drive improvements across Operations, R&D, and Manufacturing to ensure products meet standards.

The role emphasizes data analysis, corrective actions, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve processes. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3–5 years of manufacturing quality experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years in Quality/Process/Production within manufacturing.
• Experience with quality systems, audits, corrective actions, and CI programs.
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and SPC.
• Experience analyzing data with Minitab, Excel, and similar tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects with Operations, R&D, and Manufacturing.

What’s the job?

This is onsite role at our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading quality initiatives and ensuring products manufactured at the facility meet established quality standards. This role utilizes data analysis and continuous improvement tools to enhance product performance, reduce quality-related costs, and improve manufacturing processes. The position works closely with Operations, R&D, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to support quality systems, risk mitigation, and process improvement efforts.

What do you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Production, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality systems, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
• Experience analyzing quality and process data using Minitab, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively with Operations, R&D, Manufacturing, and other business partners.
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• ASQ certification (Engineer, Auditor, or Manager) and/or membership in the American Society for Quality preferred.

Pay Transparency:

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $81,500.00 to $126,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,650.00 to $139,150.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
