Job summary

CertainTeed, part of Saint-Gobain, seeks a Reliability Engineer for its Buchanan, NY manufacturing facility. You will improve equipment reliability, maintainability and performance across the plant, leading predictive, preventive and condition-based maintenance programs.

What’s the job?

This is onsite role at our Buchanan, NY manufacturing facility.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability, maintainability, and operational performance across the manufacturing facility.

• Lead the efforts to reduce unplanned downtime, improve asset utilization, and optimize maintenance strategies through predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify equipment losses, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Established responsibilities include predictive maintenance, inspection programs, condition monitoring, maintenance strategy development, and technical problem-solving.

What do you bring?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline required. Master's Degree a plus.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability engineering experience.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, process manufacturing, building products, mining, cement, gypsum, paper, chemicals, or similar industries preferred.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and reliability programs required.
• Experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems preferred.

Pay Transparency

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,600 to $139,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
