Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Garden Grove, CA seeks a Quality Specialist to lead and support quality systems through production, ensuring materials and products meet specs and ISO standards. Required are 5–8+ years in manufacturing quality and 3–5+ years in quality inspection, plus relevant ASQ certification and drawing interpretation skills.

Quality Specialist, Manufacturing, Garden Grove, CA $30.00 - $38.00 per hour, $1.00 2nd Shift Differential, M-F 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Overtime and Quarterly Bonus.

The Quality Specialist leads and supports activities related to the implementation, maintenance, control, and monitoring of quality systems and standards. These systems ensure that materials and products meet quality requirements at all stages of production, in alignment with corporate quality policies, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, and customer specifications.

Working under the general direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist is directly responsible for improving and maintaining various quality systems. These systems may include receiving, in-process, and final inspections/testing/release, product auditing, certification, calibration, complaint handling, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and nonconforming material control.

Is this job for you ?

• High School Diploma (Required).
• Associates or bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
• Industry-recognized quality certification (e.g. ASQ CQI, CQT, CQE or equivalent. Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.
• Must meet requirements for SG Quality Stamp - ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices; knowledge of inspection techniques, ability to read & understand engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• 5-8+ years experience Manufacturing in metal, plastics, pharma, biopharma or medical devices, aerospace is preferred
• 3-5+ years of Quality Inspection is required.
• Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $30.00 to $38.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $62,400 to $86,944Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
