Mechanical Quality Inspector - Manufacturing, CPS

Mechanical Quality Inspector, Manufacturing, Garden Grove, CA $24.00 - $34.00 per hour M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm. Overtime plus Quarterly Bonus.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves performing routine inspections, testing, and analyzing products at various stages of the production process. The Quality Control Technician works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, maintain accurate documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Quality Control Technician is to maintain and enhance the quality of the company’s products by rigorously testing and inspecting them to detect and correct defects or deviations from specifications. This position ensures that all products comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines, thereby contributing to the company’s reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in upholding the company’s commitment to excellence and supporting its overall mission and goa ls.

Is this job for you ?
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate (Required).
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Industry-recognized quality certification (e.g. ASQ CQI, CQT, CQE or equivalent. Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.
  • Must meet requirements for SG Quality Stamp - ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices; knowledge of inspection techniques, ability to read & understand engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • 3+ years experience Manufacturing in metal, plastics, pharma, biopharma or medical devices, aerospace is preferred
  • 2+ years of Quality Inspection is required.
  • Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $24.00 to $34.00 per hour.This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $49,920 to $77,792. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
