Job summary

Ms Companies, LLC is hiring a Quality Engineer in the Nashville area to support product launches and ensure quality and compliance across customers, suppliers, and plant operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive manufacturing experience and strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001. Travel to customer plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a technical field with at least three years of manufacturing quality experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with at least eight years of relevant experience.
• IATF Internal Auditor certification.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 within an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Recent Core Tools training or willingness to complete updated training within the first year.
• Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of product compliance requirements, including FMVSS 205, ECE R43, and CCC.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally to customer assembly plants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the plant Quality Policy, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEAs, standardized work, and PPAP documentation.
• Support assigned customers with product launches, quality reporting, corrective actions, and problem resolution.
• Review process audits, finished product inspections, warranty data, and supplier PPAP files.
• Partner with plant teams, Corporate Quality, customers, and suppliers to improve product and process quality.
• Communicate significant quality concerns across the organization and support the Quality Manager as needed.
• Maintain required testing, reporting, and records for government and customer compliance.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Physical and Environment Requirements

This position works in manufacturing and office environments and requires occasional travel to customer assembly plants. Regular attendance and flexibility to work additional hours when needed, including some weekends and holidays, are required.
