Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Quality Manager to lead a team of about 38 across Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Systems, Metrology, Validation, and Production Quality in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment in Clinton, TN.

You will drive continuous improvement, champion 8D/5 Why investigations, ensure IATF 16949 compliance, and develop robust APQP/PPAP processes while mentoring staff to achieve superior metrics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years automotive quality experience.
• 2+ years in quality leadership/management.
• Strong OEM or Tier 1 automotive manufacturing background.
• Experience with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and quality systems.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CQE, or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop quality teams while fostering a proactive quality culture.
• Drive improvements in first-pass yield, scrap reduction, defect prevention, and overall product quality.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FTA, and Pareto Analysis.
• Support production operations through active floor presence and problem-solving leadership.
• Manage customer quality concerns, audits, containment activities, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
• Provide leadership for APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and new product launches.
• Oversee Supplier Quality, Metrology, and Validation functions.

Are you a hands-on quality leader with a passion for continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence? We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead a team of approximately 38 professionals across Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Systems, Metrology, Validation, and Production Quality. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape quality strategy, mentor teams, and drive operational performance within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
