Job summary

ERSG Limited is seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to join a major infrastructure project. You will collaborate with project teams, designers, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure quality standards and client requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes implementing Quality Management Systems, creating and reviewing ITPs, conducting internal audits, managing NCRs, and promoting continuous improvement with a focus on sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Full UK working rights; this role does not offer sponsorship.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ITPs, NCR management, document control and quality records management.
  • Experience producing and reviewing ITPs; knowledge of auditing processes and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project Quality Management Systems.
  • Assist in development and management of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct internal audits and support supply chain and design partner audits.
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive corrective actions.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture and defect-free approach across all activities.
  • Support project handover documentation and quality reviews.
  • Deliver quality awareness training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality activities align with sustainability and carbon reduction objectives.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a major infrastructure project. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional who is passionate about delivering projects right first time and driving a culture of excellence.Working closely with project teams, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring quality standards, client requirements, and project procedures are consistently achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project Quality Management Systems.
  • Assist in the development and management of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct internal audits and support supply chain and design partner audits.
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support corrective action close-out.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture and defect-free approach across all project activities.
  • Support project handover documentation and quality reviews.
  • Deliver quality awareness training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality activities align with sustainability and carbon reduction objectives.
About You
  • Experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Coordinator, or Quality Assurance role.
  • Previous exposure to civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, rail, construction, or similar engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience producing and reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Knowledge of auditing processes and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience managing NCRs and driving corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
