Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management or equivalent.
  • 15–20 years of experience managing quality programs on large-scale industrial/construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, inspection methods, codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site quality team and coordinate with construction, engineering, HSE, and contractors.
  • Implement and maintain Project Quality Plans and ITPs for turnover.
  • Manage audits, nonconformance reporting, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
  • Interface with client, contractors, and project leadership to drive quality improvement.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Site Quality Manager to support the engineering, procurement, and construction of large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects for a leading energy company. This role will be responsible for managing all quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site, ensuring construction is executed in full compliance with project specifications, drawings, applicable standards, and approved procedures.

The Site Quality Manager will lead the site quality team while coordinating closely with construction, engineering, HSE, and contractor personnel to maintain rigorous inspection and testing controls throughout the project lifecycle. This individual will oversee implementation of the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures while ensuring all inspection, testing, and verification activities are properly planned, executed, documented, and maintained for turnover.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing quality programs across multiple construction disciplines, including civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes of work. They will serve as the primary quality representative between the client, contractors, and project teams, driving proactive identification and resolution of quality issues before they impact project execution, schedule, or handover.

This individual will also be responsible for managing audits, surveillance activities, nonconformance reporting, corrective action programs, and contractor quality performance. The Site Quality Manager will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the project through disciplined verification, effective stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement of workmanship, quality processes, and construction execution.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management, or equivalent combination of education and field experience15-20 years of experience managing quality programs on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or mission-critical construction projectsStrong knowledge of QA/QC principles, inspection methodologies, construction codes, standards, and quality management systemsProven experience leading multi-discipline quality teams in active construction environmentsDemonstrated experience implementing and managing Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and associated quality proceduresExperience reviewing and approving contractor quality documentation, including procedures, inspection reports, and testing recordsStrong understanding of civil, mechanical, and electrical quality requirements and inspection processesExperience managing nonconformance reporting, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and quality issue resolutionProven ability to coordinate quality inspections, surveillance activities, and audits across multiple contractors and disciplinesExperience maintaining quality documentation, traceability systems, turnover packages, and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycleStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and project leadership teamsAbility to drive a culture of accountability, quality excellence, and continuous improvement across site operationsExperience supporting Data Center or mission-critical facility construction projectsProfessional quality certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalentExperience conducting joint audits with client representatives and managing contractor quality improvement initiativesExperience supporting large-scale fast-track construction projects with multiple contractors and work frontsFamiliarity with digital quality management systems and electronic turnover documentation platformsPrevious experience supporting EPC, industrial manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure projects
