Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in Bristol, NH is seeking a Quality Engineer to be the primary quality contact for customers and to lead quality initiatives across manufacturing. You will maintain and improve the quality management system, analyze data, coordinate PPAP submissions, and drive process improvements with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Two or more years in quality, manufacturing, process engineering, or production environments.
  • Experience with quality tools such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, SPC, audits, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, helping investigate concerns, resolve issues, and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Lead quality initiatives including audits, inspections, complaint investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems, procedures, and documentation to ensure ISO and customer requirements compliance.
  • Analyze quality data and manufacturing trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, defect reduction, and cost savings.
  • Coordinate PPAP submissions, quality documentation, and customer‑required reports to support new and existing business.
  • Manage measurement systems and calibration activities while supporting the effective use of inspection and testing equipment.
  • Train and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen quality practices, improve product performance, and achieve operational excellence.

  • Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, SPC, audits, process improvement, or continuous improvement.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations that improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work directly with customers, suppliers, operators, engineers, and leaders.
  • Self‑motivated problem solver who can manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to learn and grow in areas such as Lean, Six Sigma, quality systems, auditing, and customer quality management.
