Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Cleveland, GA is looking for a Quality Engineer (Supplier Focused) to support customer and supplier requirements by maintaining and improving the global Quality Management System. The role provides QA expertise during warranty investigations, audits, APQP, supplier assessments, and new business acquisition.

You will partner with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality expectations are defined, monitored, and met, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field; advanced degree or equivalent accepted.
• Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Supplier Quality.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical tools, and audits.
• Experience with ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, and core Quality tools.
• ASQ certifications or similar training preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical capability with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret customer and supplier requirements.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and data analysis tools.
• Internal auditing experience preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Communication & Collaboration: engages with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred; advanced degree or equivalent experience accepted.
• Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Supplier Quality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical tools, and audit practices.
• Experience with ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, and other core Quality tools.
• Relevant certifications, system experience, and training (ASQ certifications preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical capability with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret customer and supplier requirements and apply them effectively.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and data analysis tools.
• Internal auditing experience preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
