Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a Quality Engineer in Bay City for a 6- to 12-month engagement. The role focuses on supporting machining, welding, and powertrain components with a strong emphasis on quality tools and problem solving.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, bring 5+ years of industry experience, and demonstrate analytical thinking, CAPA handling, NC corrective actions, and PPAP readiness to ensure product quality across supplier

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry.
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Support quality engineering tasks for machined parts, welded parts, assemblies, and powertrain components.
  • Identify sorting issues, perform inspections and corrective actions.
  • Implement CAPA, manage NC reports.
  • Support PPAPs with customers.
  • Collaborate with plant and customer handling.

  • Part time (anywhere from 10 hours to 30 hours per week), can be 4-5 hours per day, freelancer—on‑as‑needed basis.
