Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering support across the product life cycle, including new product development, production, and field support.

This role will lead root cause investigations, drive continuous improvement, support quality processes, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5 or more years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Having knowledge of electronics/electrical parts standards and regulations is ideal.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, quality metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting new product development and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Z1.4/MIL-STD-105 sampling.
  • Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Visio, Access, and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external partners.
  • Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, IPC-A-610, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality Engineering support throughout the product life cycle, including NPD, prototype, pilot, and production.
  • Apply quality methods, process controls, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide quality input during product development, testing, and production activities.
  • Review and approve product changes, deviations, and configuration updates.
  • Develop test plans, inspection instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Serve as the Quality gate for releasing products to production.
  • Investigate DOA/field failures and drive resolution.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and present quality findings to management.
