Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 12+ months contract located in Auburn Hills, MI. The role is onsite and focuses on automotive engineering challenges, warranty resolution, and cross-functional leadership.

The candidate should have 5+ years in Product Engineering, testing/validation experience, and strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering is required, with additional certifications valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition.
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating cross functional project meetings; compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence.
• Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders.
• Lead the resolution of warranty related issues with problem solving, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress.
• Lead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and dealer/ supplier reviews at QE Center and Manufacturing locations.
• Establish and validate containment and permanent actions.
• Review product changes and update internal metrics and control plans.

This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite).

Pay Range: $40 - $44/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitating cross functional project meetings Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
• Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress
• Lead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support /Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
• Establish & validate containment & permanent actions
• Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering
• 2 + years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
