Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician I - Defect Analysis (1st Shift) in Holland, MI. You will support laboratory-based examination of lithium-ion battery cells and modules, using SEM/EDS, XRD, CT/X-ray, and other analyses to identify defect causes and ensure quality.

This on-site, full-time role requires following procedures, documenting results, and assisting engineers and the quality team to drive continuous improvement while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read measurements, graphs, and basic technical documentation.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures, maintain accurate records, and use PPE.
• Ability to work the assigned shift schedule and on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze battery samples using SEM/EDS, XRD, ion milling, CT/X-ray, GC-MS, and microscopy.
• Perform tests and organize resulting data per test plans and engineering direction.
• Measure, record, and summarize physical, chemical, and performance characteristics.
• Document observations and communicate results to engineers or team leads.
