LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician I (Defect Analysis) to support laboratory examination and testing of lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and BMS failure samples. You will use SEM/EDS, XRD, CT/X-ray, GC-MS, and microscopy to collect and report results for engineers and quality teams.

You will verify equipment, maintain records, and coordinate with Quality and Engineering to communicate test progress and findings, ensuring safety and compliance on-site.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, graphs, and basic technical documentation.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures, maintain accurate records, and use protective equipment.
• Ability to work the assigned shift schedule and maintain on-site attendance.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and analyze battery cell, module, and component samples using lab methods and equipment (SEM/EDS, XRD, ion milling, CT/X-ray, GC-MS, microscopy).
• Perform tests and experiments per approved plans; collect and organize data.
• Measure, record, and summarize physical, chemical, and performance characteristics.
• Document observations and results; communicate findings to engineers or team leader.
• Support defect investigations by providing reliable test data from production and field samples.
• Verify daily/weekly/monthly equipment checks and calibrations; report discrepancies.
