Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking an Engineer I in Defect Engineering to identify battery cell defects caused by contamination and drive improvements in our clean room manufacturing.

You will apply lean Six Sigma and problem-solving to reduce foreign particles, design and pilot changes (including 3D printing), and partner with Production and Quality teams to ensure sustained quality and safe, efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience.
• Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of contamination in the production process.
• Design, prototype (incl. 3D printing) and pilot improvements.
• Verify effectiveness of improvements and standardize them.
