Role Overview

Supports corporate, plan-level, and departmental strategies and goals for quality measure (HEDIS, CMS Adult / Child Core Set, and state-required) reporting processes. Meets this standard by effectively applying both business knowledge and technical expertise to support business initiatives and solve business problems.

Work Arrangement

• This is a remote eligible position working East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Supports strategies and goals for quality measure reporting through processing external data feeds to optimize performance.
• Applies business knowledge and technical expertise to support initiatives and resolve issues.
• Creates and maintains documentation related to data, databases, business rules, and reporting policies for all lines of business.
• Develops and executes test processes, including QA of own work and team members' work related to data and databases.
• Develops reports for stakeholders using SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, and Azure Databricks.
• Tracks and resolves data-related issues.
• Performs clinical data analysis.
• Assists end users in understanding data and supports data transformation activities.
• Collaborates with the data warehouse team and IS to ensure timely data receipt.
• Assesses data for completeness and accuracy, and tracks file format changes.
• Supports onboarding of new data feeds and evaluates new feeds for prioritization.
• Participates in investigations of quality measure variance related to clinical data exchanges.
• Collaborates with the HEDIS team on longitudinal projects.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in healthcare, statistics, IT, or mathematics.
• Minimum 1 year HEDIS experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• At least 5 years of healthcare and/or managed care experience.
• Familiar with relational databases and query languages (SAS, SQL, Python).
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical ontologies and code sets (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD) is a plus.
• Background in statistical process control, data modeling, or data analysis.
• Familiar with HEDIS, CMS specifications, and healthcare data exchange standards like HL7 and EDI.
