Job summary

SRM Concrete is hiring Quality Control Technicians to ensure our ready mix concrete meets industry standards for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. We offer on-the-job training and support for those new to quality control or the concrete industry.

As part of SRM’s quality team, you will perform testing, interpret results, and maintain records while collaborating with production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work variable shifts including day and overnight.
• Entry-level candidates welcomed with on-the-job training.
• ACI certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in quality control or construction materials is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with quality management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready-mix concrete.
• Interpret test results and compare to specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections of concrete products for quality compliance.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot quality issues.
• Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and activities.
• Stay current on industry trends to improve quality control processes.
