Job summary

JBS Foods in West Manteca, CA is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift to support the QA department through product control, verification procedures and inspection of finished goods.

The role includes online quality checks, label verification, CCP observations, metal detector calibrations, GMP and sanitation monitoring, and meticulous production documentation to ensure product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• One year of QA/QC manufacturing experience preferred.
• HACCP & SQF training/certification preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization and prioritization under time constraints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
• Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.).
• Finished product quality checks.
• CCP Direct Observations and documentation.
• Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.
• Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.
• Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
• Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly.
• Lead and document leaker checks.
• Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation.
• Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
• Return product checks/releases.
• Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.
• Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.
