Job summary

Shine Foods, Inc. is hiring a diligent QC Technician for its production facility in Torrance. The role focuses on maintaining quality standards through tests, inspections, and documentation across the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include monitoring formulas, weights, temperatures, and CCP logs while ensuring GMPs and SSOPs are followed. The position is a 2nd shift, full-time, with responsibilities involving metal detection checks, X-ray inspection, and ongoing QA reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in QC or QA.
• Strong knowledge of quality control best practices, test procedures, and applicable standards and regulations.
• Proficient in using various quality control tools and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product formulations during ingredients, and filling preparation, document lot information for traceability on the Daily Product Mixing Batch Checking report.
• Monitor forming processing, product identity, weights, and line condition; ensure quality during forming.
• Record internal temperatures post-steamer and maintain CCP 1B Cooking Log; perform sensory evaluation of off-steamer product.
• Monitor temperatures and quality off the Spiral freezer; check weights, packaging, and labeling; maintain records.
• Audit QA data filing systems and CCP documentation for accuracy and completion.
• Perform environmental and allergen swabbing; check metal detector and x-ray before packaging.
