Job summary

JBS USA seeks a Quality Control Technician for the 1st shift to support the QA department with product control, verification, and inspection of finished goods.

The role requires English proficiency, and Spanish is a plus. At least one year in QA/QC in manufacturing, HACCP/SQF training preferred, and MS Office experience are expected. Compensation includes benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Bilingual Spanish desired.
• 1 year of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.
• MS Office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
• Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.).
• Finished product quality checks.
• CCP Direct Observations and documentation.
• Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.
• Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.
• Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
• Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly
• Lead and document leaker checks
• Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation
• Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
• Return product checks/releases.
• Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.
• Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.
