Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift to support the QA department in product control, verification procedures, and inspection of finished goods.

You will perform online quality checks, verify slice counts, and document CCP observations while upholding GMP and sanitation standards across the plant. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; 1 year QA/QC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of QA/QC experience in manufacturing preferred.
• HACCP and SQF training or certification preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform online quality checks on dates, lots, labels, and nutrition facts.
• Verify slice counts and finished product quality.
• Document CCP observations and calibrations.
• Maintain GMP and sanitation practices across the plant.
• Lead proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.

Position Title: Quality Control TechnicianShift: 2nd Shift

Differential: none

Wage Range: $24.45

Status: Full Time

Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.

PRINCIPAL ROLES And RESPONSIBILITIES

• Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
• Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)
• Finished product quality checks.
• CCP Direct Observations and documentation
• Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.
• Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.
• Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
• Check bellies at Bacon Press forproper temperature and feel of belly
• Lead and document leaker checks
• Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation
• Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
• Return product checks/releases.
• Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.
• Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.

Position Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Bilingual Spanish desired.
• One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.
• HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner.
• Microsoft Office Experience required.
