Job summary

Thorlabs in Newton, NJ is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the inspection team in our TAP manufacturing area. The role may require occasional duties at other Thorlabs locations.

You will train inspectors, organize workloads, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and company quality requirements. The job emphasizes attention to detail and meticulous visual inspections of delicate parts, occasionally under microscopes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of production experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with quality in an R&D / New Product Development environment.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of inspectors and prioritize work.
• Train inspectors on proper part inspection techniques.
• Organize and train employees to complete products within guidelines.
• Ensure customer, regulatory and organizational quality requirements are met.
• Report measurement metrics to monitor efficiency and quality.
