Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the assigned area and ensure safe, efficient production to meet schedules. You will supervise staff, handle hiring, training, and performance management in Newton, NJ, with occasional duties at other Thorlabs locations.

Essential duties include enforcing safety protocols, training employees, maintaining workflow, and coordinating with Production Planning to optimize on-time delivery. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop staff.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned group to meet production goals and quality.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; manage performance.
• Collaborate with management and HR on policies.
