Job summary

R.H. Sheppard Co. Inc. seeks a Quality Control Lead to oversee the day-to-day quality workflow for a designated plant and shift. You will coach production operators, maintain measurement systems, and drive inspection coverage to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.

You will train Quality Control Technicians, validate critical processes, perform MSAs, and coordinate with Operations to ensure continuous improvement and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing QC preferred (automotive or similar).
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience or ability to learn statistical calculations for process control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control systems in the designated production area, including gauging, equipment, and processes.
• Train Quality Control Technicians on inspection methods and documentation; maintain training matrix.
• Validate and audit critical products and processes as required by control plans or emerging risk.
• Coordinate daily/weekly inspection coverage with Operations and report gaps to QC leadership.
• Prepare and review quality records and non-conforming material processes per procedures.
• Conduct investigations to understand part feature variance and implement corrective actions.
