Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Lead in New York to supervise a team of QC technicians and inspectors. This hands-on role requires coordinating with outside agencies and ensuring quality standards on precast and related infrastructure projects.

The position involves direct sampling, measurement checks, and reporting duties. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, QC training, and strong communication skills, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent vocational training/certification.
• Must have safety mindset and integrity in the workplace.
• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Completed QC training including NPCA PQS1, ACI CFTT grade 1 and ACI CSTT.
• Ability to read and explain QC manuals and training to others.
• Effective written and verbal communication with all stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with outside agencies to ensure QC transparency.
• Computer literate with MS Office, Teams and QC software.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs solo or with team lift.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate samples of incoming materials.
• Perform pre/post pour measurement checks on precast parts.
• Inspect cages, forms and parts in process and finished stages.
• Use cylinder break machine to test samples.
• Distribute reports and tests as necessary.
• Use calipers, dial gauges and other measurement tools.
• Conduct QC checks and escalate issues to supervisor/manager.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to ensure QC transparency.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
