Job summary

Harry-Pepper- is seeking a seasoned Quality Control professional to lead on-site QA/QC for pump station projects. The role requires authority to stop work for nonconformance and direct QC staff to meet contract requirements.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years in pump station or heavy civil construction, with hands-on testing, inspections, and safety leadership; proficiency in Excel/Word and familiarity with E-Builder or RMS is a plus.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Construction Management and 3+ years in pump station or heavy civil construction.
Minimum 5 years in pump station construction or heavy civil construction.
Meets CQC Training requirements and demonstrates strong leadership.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain QA/QC data in the project database throughout the contract.
Certify materials and equipment on and off site and coordinate inspections.
Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings for each work feature.
Supervise inspections (follow-up, punch-out, pre-final, final) and coordinate labs.
Maintain testing plans and submittal logs; lead weekly QC meetings.
Review submittals for conformance and ensure site personnel are present.
Direct QC staff and have authority to remove nonconforming work.
Ensure safety policy compliance and stop work for safety violations.
