Job summary

Genentech in Hillsboro is seeking a 2027 Summer Intern for the Quality Control team. This paid, intensive six-month internship offers exposure to process improvement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize QC performance.

You will assist in collecting and analyzing data, developing dashboards, and mapping processes while supporting Lean initiatives and 5S in the laboratory. Starts May/June and includes a location-based stipend.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding degrees in science, engineering, data science or related field.
• Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with data-driven approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for documenting findings.

Responsibilities

• Attend QC improvement meetings and support structured problem solving.
• Collect, analyze and visualize process data to understand capacity and performance.
• Develop tools and dashboards to monitor KPIs and trends.
• Map QC processes and support Lean/5S initiatives in the lab.
