Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to support production teams in ensuring high-quality parts. You will inspect components during in-process production, document findings, and communicate trends to supervision.

Strong focus on GD&T, dimensional and visual inspection, and compliant documentation is essential. The role requires a minimum of three years in QA/inspection with hands-on use of calipers, height gauges, and verniers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in quality inspection or a related area.
• Strong attention to detail in mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and CoCs/CoAs/FAIRs.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process mechanical/dimensional inspection of varied product lines.
• Communicate errors and systemic trends to supervision.
• Review and audit documentation such as CoC, CoA, and FAIR.
• Write Defective Material Reports (DMRs) and coordinate RTVs.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, height gauges, pin gages, verniers).
• Coordinate with MRB, Planning, Purchasing, or Quality Engineering to resolve issues.
• Inspect COCs and test documents for accuracy and completeness.

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector III works with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products. This involves inspecting parts during in-process production, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
• Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lines
• Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
• Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
• Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier’s, etc.)
• Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues
• Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
• Inspect parts during in-process production and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor
